We want everyone to be able to read about the board and buy it, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
What we aim for
Our target is WCAG 2.2 level AA for the pages we build (everything except the checkout, which Shopify runs).
What we've designed in:
- Text colours chosen to meet or beat the AA contrast ratio on every background we use.
- Every video can be paused, and it doesn't play by itself if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Built to work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline. Pop-ups close with Esc, and focus goes back to where you were.
- Comparison rows use words as well as ticks and crosses, so nothing depends on colour or icons alone.
- Images have text descriptions. Images made with AI are labelled "AI-generated scene".
- The training plan is available as a web page as well as a PDF.
How we check
We'll test the live site with automated checks and a keyboard walk-through, and publish the date and results here.
Known gaps
- The checkout and the card payment page are run by Shopify and PayPlus, not by us.
- We haven't yet tested the full buying journey with a screen reader.
